College of Health Professions

Degree Requirements

Students must satisfy all college and university degree requirements for their major in order to graduate. College requirements include completion of 120 semester hours with a 2.0 GPA, completion of all core courses with grades of C or better, satisfactory completion of all approved and general electives, and completion of a college evaluation form. In order to graduate in the desired term, students also must turn in a completed graduation application form to the UF Registrar's Office by the University deadline (published in the Schedule of Courses.) The degree application form is available from the Registrar's Office.

Honors

There are three levels of honors: honors, high honors, and highest honors. Students with a minimum 3.65 GPA in the junior/senior years are considered for honors by the program based on a review of the overall academic record. Students are eligible for high or highest honors with a junior-senior GPA of 3.75 and 3.9, respectively, and successful completion of a special project of high quality, evaluated by program faculty. The project submitted can be a thesis, research project or other creative work agreed upon by the faculty supervisor. Postbaccalaureate students are not eligible to receive honors recognition. Guidelines for completion of the honor's thesis are available in the dean's office.
