To prepare for the minor, students should take at least six hours at the 2000 level in the first two years. A minimum of three courses must be completed at the university.
Required Courses
Five courses at the 3000-/4000-level.
Course prefixes can include: AML (American Literature), CRW (Creative Writing), ENC (English Composition), ENG (English), ENL (English Literature), LIT (Literature), and Any of the following courses: LIN 3010 Introduction to Linguistics, 3 credits LIN 3680 Modern English Structure, 3 credits LIN 4605 World Englishes, 3 credits SPC 3605 Speech Writing, 3 credits SPC 4680 Rhetorical Criticism, 3 credits One independent study course (ENG 4905) may be applied to the minor. | 15 |
