The B.F.A. in creative photography emphasizes studio design and technique. The curriculum develops professional specialization and preparation in the creative process and artistic comprehension.
Students must complete a 2-D, a 3-D and a 4-D course as part of their 2000-level studio requirements. A portfolio review will be required of students before admission into junior-level studio courses.

Critical Tracking and Semester Plan
Semester 1:
- 2.0 UF GPA
- Complete a total of 9 hours (ART 1802C, ART 1803C) or a total of 6 hours of any ART or PGY or GRA course at the 2000 level with a grade of C or better
Semester 2:
- 2.5 UF GPA
- Complete 3 of 8 critical-tracking courses: ART 2305C, GRA 2111C or ART 2468C or ART 2500C, ART 2757C or ART 2701C, PGY 2101, PGY 2441C, PGY 2442C, ART 2931C, ART 2501C or 2401C with a grade of C or better
Semester 3:
- 2.75 UF GPA
- Complete 2 additional critical-tracking courses with a grade of C or better
Semester 4:
- 3.0 UF GPA for semesters 4-5
- Complete 3 additional critical-tracking courses with a grade of C or better
- Complete the CLAST exam or be exempted
