Majors
Geomatics addresses land information development and management through field survey, photogrammetry, remote sensing, satellite positioning, and other techniques. Spatial information collected is then integrated into digital land or geographic information systems and made suitable for use and analysis. Present land values, rates of urban development, and environmental concerns require a broadly educated person to develop, manage, and apply land information. Surveyors and mappers, the practicing component of geomatics, provide these professional services to society.
This major is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.

General Education (GE) courses can be selected from any approved course in the subject area. Selection of courses should consider satisfaction of the Writing and Math Requirement and international studies and diversity requirements
Course availability may necessitate departure from this course sequence. Except for certain courses where sequence is critical (i.e., physics 1 and 2), successful completion is more important than the sequence in which the courses are taken.

Semester 1:
- 2.0 UF GPA required for semesters 1-5
- Complete at least 1 of 12 critical-tracking courses with a 2.5 GPA in all critical courses - MAC 1147, MAC 2233, MAC 2234, ECO 2023, PHY 2053, PHY 2053L, PHY 2054, PHY 2054L, SPC 2600, STA 2023, GEO 2200, SUR 2322C
Semester 2:
- Complete at least 2 additional critical-tracking courses with a 2.5 GPA in all critical courses
Semester 3:
- Complete at least 1 additional critical-tracking course with a 2.5 GPA in all critical courses
Semester 4:
- Complete at least 2 additional critical-tracking courses with a 2.5 GPA on all critical courses
Semester 5:
- Complete all 12 critical-tracking courses with a 2.5 GPA in all critical courses
