Degree RequirementsDual Degrees Seniors must submit a degree application to the Office of the University Registrar, 222 Criser Hall, by the deadline for the semester during which they expect to graduate. This application is only valid for that term. In addition, all students must satisfactorily complete the following requirements to graduate from the Warrington College of Business Administration:
Dual DegreesA student pursuing a BSBA or BABA degree can concurrently pursue a second baccalaureate degree, provided that the second degree is awarded by another college. A student may receive two degrees of the same rank provided they have a dual degree form approved by both colleges and have met the necessary curriculum, GPA, and residency requirements for both degrees. Residency RequirementsAll business core and major courses must be taken in residence at the University of Florida. In addition, the last 30 hours to be applied toward a degree must be completed in residence in the college. This requirement may be waived only in special cases and must be approved in advance by the college's Undergraduate Committee. Students must have prior approval of college Undergraduate Committee to use correspondence courses to fulfill degree requirements. If approved, students may not take more than six (6) semester hours by correspondence during the final 60 semester hours required for the baccalaureate degree. Students who are on college probation may not take courses by extension or correspondence. Honors, High Honors, and Highest HonorsHonors designations are based on three grade point averages: UF GPA, business core GPA, and major or area of specialization GPA. All three GPAs must meet the following minimum standards at the time of graduation in order for the honors designation to be awarded:
In addition to the GPA requirements, a thesis is required for the high or highest honors designation. BSBA students are required to pursue the honors thesis through one of the academic departments in the Warrington College of Business Administration. BABA students are required to pursue the honors thesis through one of the academic departments in the Warrington College of Business Administration or the department of their area of specialization. A thesis requires enrollment in a specific section of an honors thesis course and must be reviewed by at least one faculty member chosen by the department's honors coordinator. Students must have completed 90 semester hours of coursework at the time they enroll in the thesis course. The completed thesis and an abstract must be submitted to the supervising faculty member and the Honors Office in Tigert Hall (www.honors.ufl.edu). Postbaccalaureate students are not eligible to receive an honors recognition.
