Honors ProgramDirector: Sheila K. Dickison Office: Tigert 140 (392-1519) For information on honors courses offered each semester, students should consult the listing in 140 Tigert or the honors home page: IDH 2931 Honors Seminar. Credits: 3; May be repeated for credit with change of topic. A special topics course restricted to students in the university-wide Honors Program. GR-E† IDH 3931 Interdisciplinary Junior Honors. Credits: 1 to 3; May be repeated for credit with change of topic. A special topics course restricted to students in the university-wide Honors Program. GR-E† IDH 4715 Professional Development Strategies. Credits: 1. May be repeated up to 3 credits. This course will help select undergraduate students identify and compete for the most prestigious career-making scholarships by determining the activities and ideas most important and attractive to selection committees. IDH 4905 Individual Work. Credits: 1 to 3. Restricted to students in the university-wide Honors Program. IDH 4917 Undergraduate Research. Credits: 1 to 5; Prereq: permission of the Honors Program. Student research under the direction of a faculty member. IDH 4932 Honors Tutorial. Credits: 1. Must be taken in conjunction with other university courses at the 3000 and 4000 level. Students must secure permission of instructor of the course to which they wish to add this credit. IDH 4940 Internship. Credits: 1 to 6; May be repeated for credit. Experiential learning in a variety of work locations. Permission of program director required. Supervision by a faculty member or delegated authority and a post-internship report are required. |
