Credits: 2; Prereq: MAC 1147 or equivalent. Introductory readiness course in General Chemistry for those with weaker but satisfactory backgrounds in high school chemistry and algebra. An introduction to experimental techniques used in biochemistry, especially those useful in DNA isolation and manipulation, protein purification and enzyme kinetic studies.
