Recreation, Parks and Tourism - Tourism and Hospitality Management

Tourism planning and hospitality management prepares students for employment opportunities in the tourism industry and with agencies responsible for travel and tourism development, resort recreation management, and hospitality management. A concentration in tourism planning and development also is offered.
To remain ‘on track’ for this major, a student must meet the following critical tracking criteria. The critical tracking courses appear in bold.
Semester 1:
- 2.0 UF GPA required for semesters 1-5
- Complete 1 of the 8 critical tracking courses (PSY2012, SYG2000, ECO2013, MAR3023, MAN3025, (ENC2210 or AEE3033C), (EDF3110 or DEP3053), (SPC2600 or AEE3030C)
Semester 2:
- Complete 2 additional critical tracking courses
Semester 3:
- Complete 3 additional critical tracking courses
Semester 4:
- Complete remaining critical tracking courses
