Exercise and Sport Sciences - Sport Management
The sport management specialization prepares the student to work in high-level competition sport settings, for example professional, intercollegiate and amateur sports. The curriculum emphasizes athletes and their physical, psychological and social needs. All required courses must be completed prior to internship.
To remain 'on track' for this major you must meet the following critical tracking criteria. The critical tracking courses appear in bold.
Semester 1:
- 2.2 UF GPA required for sems 1-5
- Complete 1 of the 5 critical tracking courses with a 2.0 GPA on tracking coursework PSY2012, (SPC2600 or AEE3030C), (MAC1147 or MAC1140 and any statistics) or (MAC1140 and MAC1114), PET2320C; PET2350C
Semester 2:
- Complete 1 additional course of the 5 tracking courses with a 2.2 GPA on tracking coursework
Semester 3:
- Complete 1 additional course of the 5 tracking courses with a 2.2 GPA on tracking coursework
Semester 4:
- Complete all 5 critical tracking courses with a 2.2 GPA on all tracking coursework
