| 480-510 | FRE 1182 | Successful completion of FRE 1182 satisfies the LAS language requirement. |

| 440-460 | LAT 1121 | Only for students with one or two years of high school Latin. |
| 470-530 | LAT 1104 | Only for students with two or three years of high school Latin. Students with four years cannot take LAT 1104; you must take LNW 2321 or 2560 or a 3000-level course. |
| 540 & above | 2000 level | LAS language requirement complete. You can choose a 2000-level Latin course. |

| Spanish | ||
| Students who have studied Spanish in grades 9-12 MUST have a placement score (SAT II, AP, IB or AICE) to enroll in any 2000/3000-level SPN course. If you took Spanish previously you CANNOT take SPN 1130 or 1131. | ||
| 0 - 420 | SPN 1134 | Successful completion of SPN 1134 satisfies the LAS language requirement. |
