East-Central European Studies
Hours: 18-22 credits, all completed with grades of C or better

College of Liberal Arts and Sciences

The East-Central European studies minor allows students to study Eastern and Central Europe from an interdisciplinary perspective that incoprorates both area and language studies. It enhances language proficiency and provides an organized course of study for less commonly taught languages (Czech, Hungarian, Polish, Russian) that do not offer stand-alone majors and where two semesters of study is not sufficient.

The curriculum requires two semesters of a language beyond the CLAS language requirement, one East-Central European studies course and three electives from an approved list.

The minor is open to all UF undergraduates. For further information and approved courses, please contact Brano Kovalcik, CES Academic Programs Coordinator, at 352-392-8922.
