Disability Science
Hours: 17 credits
The disability science minor is designed to provide students with a basic scientific foundation to understand the impact of disability on physical and psychosocial health.
This minor requires 17 credits. As long as the program director approves the hours, the student can use up to three hours of relevant 3000-level or higher transfer coursework or electives outside the health science program to fulfill the elective credit hours. Lower division transfer credit will not be accepted.
Prerequisites for the minor include a 2.75 overall GPA and a 2.75 prerequisite GPA based on general college biology, general psychology, abnormal or developmental psychology, statistics (STA 2023) and physiology.
This minor is available to all juniors and seniors in other colleges who meet the prerequisites and to rehabilitative services students in this college. The minor is not available to students in the Pre-OT or health science tracks in this college.
All 17 credits required for the minor must be at the 3000-/4000-level and completed with an average grade of C.
