Communication Studies
Hours: 18 credits, all completed with grades of C or better and no S-U option

The minor in communication studies provides an interdisciplinary forum for the study of communication and the opportunity for students to add a necessary tool to their educational program.

The minor requires a grade point average of 2.5 or higher for admission.

Students can consult Dial Center for Written and Oral Communication or contact the undergraduate coordinator, 402 Rolfs Hall, 352-392-5421.

COM 1000 Introduction to Communication Studies
SPC 2300 Introduction to Interpersonal Communication
SPC 2600 Introduction to Public Speaking
3 + 3
Any SPC or COM course within the Dial Center3
3000-/4000-level SPC or COM courses within the Dial Center9
Notes
No more than three credits of SPC 4905, Independent Study
SPC 2594 Intercollegiate Forensics (prerequisite required) or
RTV 3405 Television and American Society may substitute for a 3000-level course.
