Majors
Biology Education Program: Students who plan to teach biology in secondary education programs can major in botany and should consult the undergraduate coordinator.
To graduate with this major, students must complete all university, college and major requirements.
Basic Botany Track
Preprofessional Track
This option is designed for students who do not plan to attend graduate school.
Note: Students must achieve a grade of C or better in all courses (other than electives) required for the major in botany.
* BOT 4935 Introductory Vascular Plant Morphology can substitute for BOT 5225C. This course is offered Summer A - even years.
Approved electives may be needed to complete the required 120 credit hours for graduation.
This option requires a strong background in the basic sciences and is intended for students who plan to attend graduate or professional school.
Note: Students must achieve a grade of C or better in all courses (other than electives) required for the major in botany.
