2009-10 Undergraduate Catalog
Effective for students entering UF Summer B 2006 and after: Students will receive credit for scores of 4 or higher on both higher-level and standard-level examinations.
Students entering UF before Summer B 2006: Students who received the IB diploma will receive credit for scores of 4 or higher on higher-level and standard-level examinations. Students who did not receive the IB diploma will receive credit for scores of 5 or higher on higher-level examinations only.
Scores of 4 or higher on IB French B, German B, Classical Latin and Spanish B examinations fulfill the foreign language proficiency requirement for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the College of Journalism and Communications, and B.A. programs in the College of Fine Arts, regardless of whether the student earned the IB diploma.
The chart below specifies which UF course credit students will earn depending on their score on each IB exam and whether the credit earned will count for general education and the writing* and math** requirements.
