2008-09 Undergraduate Catalog
Majors
The Bachelor of Music in Music Education curriculum (B.Mus.) prepares students to become musicians and music teachers in private life and in the public schools. It is offered in cooperation with the College of Education and includes work in music history, literature, theory, performance, conducting, ensemble and music education.

In addition, undergraduates interested primarily in performance careers often take advantage of the teacher-preparation curriculum, which fulfills the educational requirements for Florida teaching certification in grades K-12, and in most other states.
