Majors
The Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance is intended for students who are pursuing professional careers, allied fields or graduate study. This B.F.A. also is offered at the New World School of the Arts in Miami.
* A minimum of 48 credits must be completed at the 3000-4000 levels.
* Specific courses approved by the dance adviser and appropriate to the student's technical level. At least two semesters each of intermediate and advanced modern dance and one semester each of intermediate and advanced jazz and ballet are required.
** Approved electives are chosen with the dance adviser's approval; the choice may provide an emphasis in theatre, performance/choreography, world dance or dance in medicine.

Semester 1:
- 2.0 UF GPA required for semesters 1-5
- Complete 3 of 12 critical-tracking courses DAA 2381, DAN 2100, DAA 2610, DAA 2611, TPA 2232C, six DAA – dance technique courses and DAN 4180 with a grade of C or better
Semester 2:
- Complete 2 additional tracking courses with a grade C or better
Semester 3:
- Complete 3 additional tracking courses with a grade of C or better
Semester 4:
- Complete 3 additional tracking courses with a grade of C or better
- Complete successful audition
Semester 5:
- Complete DAN 4180 with a grade of C or better
To remain on track, students must complete the appropriate critical-tracking courses, which will be bold.
