The B.F.A. in creative photography emphasizes studio design and technique. The curriculum develops professional specialization and preparation in the creative process and artistic comprehension.
Students must complete a 2-D, a 3-D and a 4-D course as part of their 2000-level studio requirements. A portfolio review will be required of students before admission into junior-level studio courses.

Semester 1:
- 2.0 UF GPA
- Complete a total of 9 hours (ART 1802C, ART 1803C) or a total of 6 hours of any ART or PGY or GRA course at the 2000 level with a grade of C or better
Semester 2:
- 2.5 UF GPA
- Complete 4 of 10 critical courses (ART 2305C, GRA 2111C or ART 2468C or ART 2500C, ART 2757C or ART 2930C, PGY 2101, PGY 2441C, PGY 2442C, ARH 2050, ARH 2051, ART 2621C, ART 2501C or 2401C) with a grade of C or better
Semester 3:
- 2.75 UF GPA
- Complete 4 additional critical courses with a grade of C or better
Semester 4:
- 3.0 UF GPA for semesters 4-5
- Complete 2 additional critical course with a grade of C or better
- Complete the CLAST exam or be exempted
To remain on track, students must complete the appropriate critical-tracking courses, which will be bold.
