        The Center for Latin American Studies is one of the largest and best-funded centers for Latin American stud-ies in the nation. It is supported by a U.S. Department of Education Title VI grant for area and foreign language study.

        The faculty consists of 130 affiliates from 35 depart-ments who teach 128 undergraduate courses and graduate courses available to undergraduates in Latin American Caribbean studies.

        The Center for Latin American Studies offers a minor and an undergraduate certificate in Latin American stud-ies in conjunction with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, architecture, business administration, education, fine arts, journalism and communications and liberal arts and sciences.
