The B.A. curriculum is for students who want a liberal arts education with an emphasis in music. Em-phasis is in ethnomusicology, music history, music performance or music theory. Students may minor in other subject areas such as English, psychology or history.

Elective Requirement: A minimum of 120 semester hours is required. An elective is any course taken outside of the major. Unless minor is included, 18 credit hours of electives must be chosen from 3-4000 level courses in the College of Liberal Arts and Sci-ences (CLAS) or the College of Fine Arts (CFA).

Students must take 10 hours of foreign language or show a minimum proficiency in a single language by taking a placement test.
