Graphic Design

Graphic design is a professional program for ca-reers in graphic design and related fields. The curricu-lum includes a series of introductory courses in design, drawing, 2D, 3D and 4D studio courses and art history.  In the junior and senior years, computers are needed for design history and professional practices courses.

Deadline for portfolio and application for admis-sion at the 3000-course level is April 1 for the fall semester. A recent portfolio should include drawing and design projects.

All students must lease, purchase or otherwise ob-tain a computer system by the junior level.  Specific system requirements are available from the school or the graphic design coordinator.

Critical tracking criteria appears in bold. The courses must be completed in the term specified to remain on-track for the major.

        Students must complete a 2-D, a 3-D and a 4-D 2000-level course as part of their 2000-level studio requirements.
