Art Education


        The curriculum in art education is designed for stu-dents who plan to teach art in the public schools. This curriculum, which is offered in cooperation with the College of Education, completes certification for teachers of art in Florida and all other NCATE states.

        The speech requirement is met by ARE 4242 and 4243. The reading requirement is met with RED 3312. The introductory education and technology courses are ARE 2045 and ART 3680C or 2685 or 4930.

Critical tracking criteria appears in bold. Courses must be completed in the term specified to remain on-track. This program requires a 2.5 cumulative GPA at the end of semester 4.
