Each student must maintain a 2.00 GPA each semester enrolled in the College of Fine Arts.
To remain ‘on track’ for this major, a student must meet the following critical-tracking criteria. The critical-tracking courses appear in bold.
Semester 1:
- 2.0 UF GPA required for semesters 1-5
- Complete MUT 1121, MVK 1111, and MUH 2501 with a grade of C or better
- Complete 2 hours of (MV_14XX) - Performance Principal course work with a grade of C or better
- Complete 1 hour of a MUN ensemble course at 1000 level with a grade of C or better
- Complete 1 course of MUS 1010
Semester 2:
- Complete MUT 1122, MVK 1112 and MUS 1360 with a grade of C or better
- Complete 2 additional hours of (MV_14XX) - Performance Principal course work with a grade of C or better
- Complete 1 additional hour of a MUN ensemble course at 1000 level with a grade of C or better
- Complete 1 additional MUS 1010
Semester 3:
- Complete MUT 2126, MVK 2221 and MUH 2530 and MUL 2110 with a grade of C or better
- Complete 1 additional MUS 1010
Semester 4:
- Complete MUT 2127 and MVK 2222 with a grade of C or better
- Complete 1 additional MUS 1010
- Comprehensive Musicianship Jury
Semester 5:
- Complete MUH 3541 with a grade of C or better
