Music Education - Choral/Keyboard Emphasis

To remain 'on track' for this major you must meet the following critical tracking criteria. The critical tracking courses appear in bold.

Semester 1:

  • 2.5 UF GPA required for sem 1-5
  • Complete MUT1121, PSY 2012, MUS 2211, MUS 2241 and MAC 1114 with a grade of "C" or better
  • Complete 2 hours of (MV_14__) - Performance Principal coursework with a grade of "C" or better
  • Complete 2 hours of MVK 3702 with a grade of "C" or better
  • Complete MUS 1010

Semester 2:

  • Complete MUT1122, MUS 2221, MUS 2231 and MUS 1500 with a grade of "C" or better
  • Complete 2 additional hours of (MV_14__) - Performance Principal coursework with a grade of "C" or better
  • Complete2 additional hours of MVK 3702 with a grade of "C" or better
  • Complete an additional MUS 1010

Semester 3:

  • Complete MUT2126 and MUE 2040 with a grade of "C" or better
  • Complete 2 hours of (MV_24___ - Performance Principal coursework with a grade of "C" or better
  • Complete 1 hour of a MUN Ensemble course at 1000 level with a grade of "C" or better
  • Complete an additional MUS 1010

Semester 4:

  • Complete MUT2127 and MVK 2222 with a grade of "C" or better
  • Complete 2 additional hours of (MV_24__) - Performance Principal coursework with a grade of "C" or better
  • Complete 1 additional hour of a MUN Ensemble course at 1000 level with a grade of "C" or better
  • Complete an additional MUS1010
  • 2000 Level Performance Jury
