Art History
Art history classes are offered in ancient, medieval, renaissance/ baroque, modern and non-western art. Students who plan to enter graduate study in art history should take courses in all of these areas. At least one course in four of the five areas is required. During their fourth semester, students must submit a one-page statement of goals for continuing as an art history major. Faculty must approve the statement before students will be allowed to register for upper-division art history courses.
