General Education Requirements

Students are required to follow the curriculum specified for their degree program. All business core and major (BSBA) or area of specialization (BSBA) coursework must be taken in residence at the university and may not be taken S-U.

Students who have taken equivalent coursework at another institution will be required to either retake the course at the university or, subject to the approval of the college's undergraduate committee, take a higher-level course in the same subject area. Additional semester hours are not earned when repeating equivalent courses.

Business Core Requirements

* QMB 3250 Statistics for Business Decisions

These courses are required for all students in the BSBA or the BABA degree programs.

* CIS majors are required to take STA 4033 instead of QMB 3250.

Free Electives

Elective courses may be taken within or outside the Warrington College of Business Administration. Students in the BSBA program must take their electives according to the guidelines on this and subsequent pages. Students in the BABA programs are limited to one additional course (beyond the business core) in each business discipline.

BSBA and BABA students are encouraged to consider using their free electives to obtain a minor in another college.

General Education Requirements

Although the university requires completion of general education requirements, each college determines the manner in which students must fulfill these requirements. The general education requirements for the BSBA and BABA degrees are as follows:

In addition to the requirements listed above, BSBA and BABA students must complete six credits in courses with an international or cultural diversity focus. Please note that these credits often overlap with the composition and humanities requirements. Students are also encouraged to choose general education courses that satisfy the university's Gordon Rule requirement.

It is helpful to note that some of the preprofessional and business core courses required in the BSBA and BABA programs also fulfill certain general education requirements:

For additional information about these requirements, contact an adviser in 100 Stuzin Hall.

In the following academic plans, general education courses are identified with the letters GE, preprofessional courses are identified with 1, business core courses with 2 and major (BSBA) or area of specialization (BABA) courses with 3 .
